Echoes of Migration
Echoes of Migration is an educational card game designed to raise awareness about the dangerous journeys many immigrants face while crossing the sea to Europe. The game uses storytelling and interactive gameplay to inform players about the human side of migration.
Design Challenges:
The key challenge was finding a way to present serious, real-world issues in a format that was both respectful and engaging. The visual tone needed to balance education and empathy without becoming overly graphic or emotionally overwhelming.

I designed a system of Event, Decision, and Fact Cards that guide players through realistic scenarios based on true migration experiences. The visual identity uses muted, ocean-inspired tones and hand-drawn illustrations to reflect the theme while maintaining a serious, approachable tone. The packaging and card layout were carefully crafted to enhance usability, storytelling flow, and emotional engagement.
