Adja Hair Braiding is a 20-year-old African hair braiding business with deep cultural roots and a loyal client base. The goal of this rebrand was to honor its rich heritage while refreshing its visual identity to attract a younger, modern audience.
Design Challenges:
The challenge was to evolve the brand without losing its authenticity or legacy. It needed to feel both timeless and updated—celebrating traditional African artistry while introducing a sleek, contemporary edge that would resonate across print and digital platforms.
Solutions:
I led the rebranding process by designing a custom logo that draws inspiration from African patterns and hair braid motifs, reimagined with a clean, minimalist structure. The updated color palette features warm, earthy tones that evoke tradition, paired with vibrant accents for a fresh, modern feel. Supporting visuals, such as icons and social templates, were created to ensure consistency across signage, packaging, and social media.
